    Very inspirational Sister❤️🙏🏽

  6. I started seeing your videos a few weeks ago and the one about the fight at the club had me laughing out loud. It reminded me of my youngest daughter having to fight a guy in a bar that turned into an all out brawl.
Glad you have found what makes you happy and content in your life.
Crush!! Girl, I'm an old ass granny and Crush is my boo, we gonna have to share! I swear "Bittersweet" snatched my soul.

  8. You are such a beautiful soul!! Thank you for sharing your story and being a positive representative of a black girl that is interested in Korean culture. Very healthy. Since watching your videos I have checked myself more on my Korea boo tendencies and wearing deodorant. 💖 I hope you get to live your best life in where ever or what ever you decide to do in Korea ✨🤞🏾

  11. Thank you for surviving and for following your dreams in order to get happiness, you are such an inspiring person, thank you for making this video even though it could have been really hard you. Many people relates to your story and so do I, I don't feel like myself in where I am right know, so i decided i'm taking one year off to go to Korea with my best friend which feels the same, so we are closer than ever, we both watch your videos and love the vibe you transmit. Of course i doubt sometimes if my decision is the right one, and i also believe in god's and universe's signals, and let me tell you, this video is another signal for me, so thank you so much !! hopefully we can hang out there someday haha

  12. I love the part about the time zones. That just blew my mind & you’re right as simple as it is, it’s powerful. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏼

  13. Girl, I really love your spirit. I like Megan too. 44 yo Black woman from Philadelphia been into Korean culture since 2004. I'm watching.

  14. I love you and your channel so much. I will be visiting Korea in May. I'm too old to get in the clubs and turn up but I'd love to meet up for some street food and convo. #happypepper

I moved to NY in May 2018 and basically became depressed although I've just started to realize it and work on it. I discovered K-dramas last October (first was Stranger) and discovered BTS this January. I also think Korean culture has helped me cope. When I'm sad my comfort is K-dramas, K-Pop, and bulgogi bowls ☺️

  15. soooo we go have to BOX because i’m already cRYING AT 2AM MAAM. 👀

  18. This was so real and relatable 😭 thank you for sharing & I'm glad you're in a better place mentally!

If you were serious about needing help since you have no fall back plan for moving to Korea, look into an ESL online program & teach english online to foreigners. Some require degrees while other's dont. The ones that don't require a degree have low pay, but may be enough to help you get you by while abroad.

Not sure if you have a degree yet since you said you took a break in the vid, but if you have at least 2 years under your belt and working towards a Bachelor's (though I heard they let some people through that don't even have 2 years) you can do the TALK program in Korea if it's still active, though you would have to make sure to get the proper visa since you would physically work at a school on foreign soil. They may require you to do a TEFL/TESOL before teaching which doesnt take long but is a slight investment in money & time to be certified (100 hours I believe). Talk is like a subdivision of Epik and doesnt have as strict requirements as EPIK and GEPIK, and it's part-time, so more time to enjoy Korea! That may be something to look into! You seem like a great people person and you're really articulate with an animated personality! They offer you a free place to live by providing a stipend for rent & sometimes furniture, I think you have cover your other bills though which is usually cheap compared to your salary, all while stacking paychecks! Plus a departing bonus once your contract ends! I've been researching myself for options living abroad and thought I'd share what I found so far, but of course for anyone reading research further for yourself 🙂.

There's also the option of being an Au Pair (though I've heard HORROR stories but a lot of great ones too & you get paid plus you live with the family) and then there's also house & pet sitting for people away on vacations or jobs where you live in with people in exchange for working for them (around the house, or a family business for example) & other odd jobs but you would need the proper visa & cant just get a job while there on a tourist visa. But your best bet would be teaching online since you would technically be working online through the platform of your employer and not illegally in Korea lol (to my understanding it's like a digital nomad thing, but experienced travelers feel free to correct me!).

Just sharing what Ive learned so far in case it may help or point you (or anyone) in the right direct! I wish someone helped me when I was younger so I could have traveled with opportunities in my early 20s. Best wishes Chli! Whether you're being serious or funny, enjoy your content all around 💕

  19. Alright im only 12 minutes in and ive come to realize that, the youtubers i watch….the people who i truly vibe/bond with have alot of similarities to me (obviously) but you talking about depression and all that really hit me like a brick bc ive dealt with this since I was about 12….im 21 now and am just NOW breaking out of it…i don't even remember my teen years at all. I just remember the internal pain i was in… Even nowadays its tough for me sometimes to get out of bed and do anything bc i don't know exactly what to do…it aint like i wanna go outside and meet people 💀 God isn't done with us yet at all. I get signs all the much that i sometimes ignore them. I discovered kpop & KHipHop/Kr&b like 2 years ago then BOOM my Korean culture obsession took flight. Ever since then my goals…my visions have accelerated. I wanna do something ya know? I plan on going to Korea either in 2020 or 2021. With who? I don't know….but i guess that's up to God. i wanted to study abroad but I never even been on my own before. I barely talk to people as is. Thank you for sharing this story girl you have no idea how many people probably feel like this. I wanted to make a youtube channel so that i could meet my favorite youtubers too 💀😂😂😂 i still wanna meet Kiya, Mary Jane byarm and hopefully I get to meet you too. It's just an amazing feeling to see other black girls like me…not being stereotypical…just being who they are unapologetically. This is what i strive for.

  20. Thank God you made it through! Hallelujah 🙌🏿! God has a purpose for your life girly! I really enjoy your uniqueness and honesty. It’s really hard to find these days! Stay encouraged and keep on being you! ❤️☺️

  21. i have a similar story about two racist school teachers. i was a senior in high school and TWO of my white school teacher said the n word with er at the end. i was the ONLY black person to try and do anything about it. there was black girls trying to BULLY me for standing up for my race. i felt so alone and helpless because i literally had NO ONE backing me up. it’s even worse that my high school had quiet a few black people on campus and literally none of them helped me what so ever and some of them even guilt tripped me saying i was being over dramatic. i still regret to this day not reporting those teachers. i’m so sorry you had to go through that alone and if no one else will say it then i will, im so proud of you for standing up for us black people. thank you!

  22. Dont apologize about being real girl . keep smiling and keep positive . Im subscribed for good days and bad days okkayy?

  23. Awww girl…. you are literally amazing and I am so sorry you went through such a tough time and thank God you got through it 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 you are an inspiration. I hope you have an amazing time in Korea and please document everything!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😘

  24. I loved this. Chli bro you are beautiful in and out. I’m glad you’re still here because your content helps me through hard times. You really deserve the best. I also got into korean culture by watching Megan’s YouTube channel. ❤️

  25. Not going to lie, I cried. But, I'm happy that you are here with us, THRIVING, traveling and inspiring viewers like me. Thank you for making this video🙏 God is not done with you yet!❤

  26. im so happy you've gotten through this, and congratulations on your move you're going to kill it in korears! be safe boo!

  27. This was so warming to watch! I do believe God has amazing things planned for you and He wants to use your story to bless others. You have such a beautiful spirit and a fun vibe about you! keep doing you girl. I will hopefully be in Korea next year Feb and it'll be so cool to hang out with you !! Stay blessed girl xx

  28. Side note: I’m just thinking out loud…. the irony that we’re thanking/appreciating Korean culture and kpop for alleviating our anxiety & depression, but meanwhile Korea has one of the highest suicide rates, and kpop artists are dealing with the same depression and abuse.

  29. Thank you for sharing your story! I’m so so so happy you’re still with us. Depression is a lifelong battle, with flare ups that can occur at any moment due to triggers. But you’re a survivor.

As far as Korea, many foreigners are getting a shoe in through teaching programs like Epik. I’ve been to Korea earlier this year to visit my sister whose a teacher & loved I it so much I’m going back for Xmas/New Years. I’m so excited for your journey.

You are truly blessed and highly favored. Be well queen🧡

  30. I absolutely loved this video. I'm trying to move to Korea as well by 2021. I'm rooting for you and look forward to not only watching your channel grow, but seeing you grow as a person and creator. 🙏🏽💕
