A STORY ABOUT MY DEPRESSION IN COLLEGE

This is a story about my depression and struggles in college, losing almost everything and struggling to maintain a positive attitude. Running was how I used my energy to distract myself from my struggles. Lately I have been waiting to finally achieve the goal of running a marathon and finally I am beginning to prepare myself to execute this goal. All the struggles of my life lead me to this decision to run a marathon to test my will.

    1. Dude. Don't say "if" you're successful or "if" you make it. Pick a destination and head straight for it. Your editing and shooting skills are pretty on point already. What do you want to be doing? If you're into video and editing? Think outside the box…go to some local businesses and tell them you're into filmmaking and want to create a commercial for their business for FREE. Then make a commercial and give it to them. Something they'll be proud to post to Instagram or Facebook or wherever. Read the local paper and look for stories that speak to you and then get in touch with the people involved and shoot a video about it. Maybe there's some history in your town that would be cool to create a video for…maybe you like shooting still portraits… volunteer to help the homeless and ask if you can tske a photo of them because you're into photography and then share it with them…maybe they'll let you tell their story on video. I've had some amazing experiencing by just taking chances like that. I would try tightening up your edits a little but your definitely a damn talent. Don't waste it.
If you need advice about marathons (I've done 10 and lots of halves and rando races) hmu on Instagram (@tony_ley) or Facebook or wherever. Cool? Keep up the great work and make more shorter vids more frequently
