The theme of this video is the "Depression".

Here is the READING STEP:

→ Depression is a condition that affects millions of people around the world, but specialists are still divided on how to treat it. People who experience depression suffer from severely negative moods that affect their daily lives and affect their ability to function. To treat depression, many useful medications have been developed. Medication is currently the best way for patients to fight against depression.

First, medication helps treat the cause of depression. To function properly, the brain requires chemicals of natural origin. The most common cause of depression is a chemical imbalance in the patient's brain. Abnormal levels of specific chemicals can have a dramatic effect on a person's mood and can trigger depression in some cases. The treatment of these imbalances is the most important part of the treatment of depression. The only known treatment for these imbalances is medication.

In addition, the medication for depression has proven to be effective in many cases. Several of these medications have been used successfully to treat depression for several years and have been an essential part in helping patients overcome their condition. With the help of medication, thousands of patients can now live full lives despite their depression. While other forms of treatment to treat depression have been proposed, none has proven to be as effective as medication.

In addition, medication is usually easier for the patient to treat than other forms of treatment, such as therapy. The medications are usually taken once or twice a day and do not interrupt the patient's daily life. Maintaining a person's regular schedule is an important part of treating depression. Patients who have to undergo disruptive treatments are less likely to recover from their depression in a timely manner. ←

    1. Can you please upload more examples like this, it would help a ton! thank you so much.

    2. The reading passage and the lecture both talk about human depression. The author of the reading article believes that the best way to treat depression is through medication. The lecture cast doubts on these arguments. He claims that medication is not the most effective way to treat people and that many side-effects accompany this way of treatment.
To begin with, according to the reading, medication is the best way to fight depression because it targets the brain directly. He claims that depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain, and that the medication for depression targets this imbalance in a direct manner, resulting in a accurate treatment of the patient. He details that this imbalance can cause a person to change moods, or not feel themselves. The lecture refutes this argument. He claims that depression should not be seen as something so simple. He believes that depression not just a –brain imbalance- but something caused by a unpleasant events. He believes that the mental illness can be triggered by the death of a parent, spouse or friend. He does not agree with the theory of treating the brain inbalance directly but instead; to treat the person with theropy.
Finally, the reading claims that medication is proven to be the most effective way to treat a patient base on occurrence. He explains that other treatments have worked for treating this mental illness, however, none have been so consistent as the pills. The lecture rebuts this point. He believes that medication is just a short-term solution to the problem. He claims that people on medication will eventually feel depressed again, because the medication will, at one point, stop balancing the chemicals in the brain. Furthermore, he claims that if a person is treated through therapy, this person is better assisting the problem and less likely to fall back into a negative state of mind.

    3. Any kind of comment or recomendation is appreciated:

Both the reading and the lecture talk about depression and two possible solutions. The author states that medication is the best way to treat the disease. On the other hand, the lecturer does not recommend the use of medication. He says that it is a simplistic solution and therapy is a real one.

First of all, the author states that medication treats the cause of the depression, a chemical imbalance on the patients brain, when the amount of a specific chemical increases in a persons system it can cause mood swings which triggers the disease. The speaker disagrees. He believes that saying that depressions are always caused by chemical imbalances is simplifying the problem. A traumatic event, the death of a familiar would be a reason to have depression.

Secondy, the text points that medication's effectiveness has been proven, patients have treated depression for several years and always had good results. It claims that there is no other treatment to be as effective as medication. The speaker challenges this by saying that medication is only a short term solutions, as time goes by the effect starts the wear off. He thinks that a therapy is a definite solution as it attacks the root of the problem.

Finally, the reading explicits that medication is friendlier and easier for the patient to deal than other treatments. Medication is only about taking a pill one or two times a day with no life disruption. The last part is important due to the fact that patients that undergo disruptive treatments are less likely to recover. The lecturer opposes by saying that medication can also be disruptive. Pills usually have secondary effects such as sleep privation. Even if therapy can be disruptive, it aims to heal the patient in the long term.

    4. The reading and speaking are both about depression in which writer supports doctor’s advice to do the medication to balance chemical, but the speaker casts doubt on it with the following reasons.
First, according to the professor, the solution to prevent from depression is not medication. Instead, he focuses that people should move to find out the cause of it. In addition, he argues that chemical imbalance is just a simplicity, and he entails that depression depends on others negative factor of personal life. Whereas, the author describes that medication is only the way to treat depression because it controls the chemical imbalance.
Second, the lecturer says that medication is only a short or temporary method to cure depression, and he points out that such artificial method can’t work for longer time and an individual should do repeatedly to come out of depression. On the other hand, the passage posits that the medication has given many lives for long time, and she add up that medication is only possible medicine ever developed.
Third, the lecture tells that therapy cannot be treated with medication because of its different route and term. He also contends that medication disrupts the sleep, and he suggest eating two pills is far better. Moreover, he mentions that medication has side effect. Although, the professor tells about therapy, she remarks that medication helps to treat therapy and improves sleeping.

    5. May I ask someone to grade my essay?
In this set of materials, the reading and lecture both are about medication, which is one method of treating depression. The author believes that medication is the best option as a remedy for depression. However, the lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article. He thinks that disadvantages of medication outweigh its advantages for the patient and it is not the best treatment.
First of all, the author points out the first crucial cause of depression is chemical imbalances in the brain. It is mentioned that the best well-known procedure to cure depression is medication that directly balances chemicals in the brain. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He claims that chemical imbalances is not the only factor of depression and there are other elements like experience that causes depression in a person. Furthermore, He argues that a person that experience death of family members cannot cure by pills, the patient requires other remedies rather than pills to help him or her to through these difficulties and bad moods.
Secondly, the text argues that medication is the only proven treatment for depression and with the help of it tremendous amount of patients could alleviate their depression. The lecturer rebuts this argument. He says medication is a short time cure, and it is not effective in long term, so depression can come back after a while that a patient stop taking the pills. She elaborates on this mentioning that therapy is better alternative because it can cure the roots of the depression and treat patient completely for rest of him or his life.
Lastly, according to the passage medication is the most convenient way of treatment in that the pills are taken commonly once or twice a day without any disruption of patient daily life and activities. The lectures, on the other hand, bolster the fact that although medication is less disturbing, but the pills have a myriad of side effects, which varies from patient to patient. She puts the forth idea pills can cause difficulty for regular life of the patients.
To summarize, the lecturer effectively refutes the arguments provided in the passage, and believes that therapy is better remedy for depression compare to medication.

    6. Both author and lecturer express each idea concerned with the medication for the depression. The author proposes that medication is good option to deal with the depression, while professor casts a doubt over it.

First, the passage says that medication radically treats the cause, the chemical imbalance in the brain. However, this point is challenged by the professor, who maintains that this can mistake the exact cause of the depression by simplifying its explanation. There can be a lot of causes, especially triggered by the negative experience, such as the death of the family.

Secondly, the author claims that medication has been proven as effective to treat the depression. Meanwhile, lecturer refutes that this is not the best option. He says that it efficiently works on for the short-term solution, but not so effective for long-term as the short-term solution. Plus, it can rather wear off people unintentionally.

Finally, the article states that medication is easier to cope with than other therapy. Yet, the lecturer rebuts that therapy can be less disruptive to day-to-day life. Furthermore, we don't know the seriousness of side effects yet, caused by the medication, so that can't precisely predict how badly medication affects the patient as well.

    7. Please review it?

Here the author and the lecturer discuss about the topic of depression, and its cure. The author on one hand gives the detail on symptoms and cure of depression and the on other hand the lecturer contradicts and states it false.

First, According to the passage Depression is something that is cause due to chemical imbalance in the brain, this abnormal level of chemical cause depression to the patient. The lecturer contradicts the point stating that Chemical imbalance is not the cause of depression in the patient brain and rather various factors like negative experience (Death of someone close) might be the real cause of it.

Second, the passage states that Medication is the only best method of getting out of depression, and thousands of patients have found it beneficiary. It has helped them getting out quickly. However, lecturer disagree it by stating that medication does not cure depression and rather cures the chemical imbalance in the brain. It is just a short solution and generally not effective for long term.

Finally, passage states that therapy is not the best solution at all, medication is very helpful and do not disrupt your day to day life. The lecturer contradicts it and says, that therapy is the best solution to remove it from the root and keeps mentally secure. Medication on other hand have lot of side effects like interruption in sleep, appétit etc. different medication have different side effects, were few are not visible at all. Medication is misleading and cannot be trusted.

    8. Hey can someone please rate my essay 🙂 Kind regards!

The article states that medication is currently the best solution for patients to fight a depression and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor explains that medication cannot be the right answer and refuses each of the author´s reasons.

First, the reading states that medicine helps to treat the cause of the illness. Therefore, the pills are used to heal the common cause of the depression, a chemical imbalance in the brain. The professor rejects this point by saying that there are more factors, which led to a depression. He declares that there is often a mistake in declaring the cause of a depression. He argues that bad experiences are the most common cause of depression, the death of a beloved family member for example.
Secondly, the article claims that medicine has been effective to fight depression in several cases. Most important only medication has yet been proven as an effective way to treat depression. However, the professor clarifies that this is only a short time solution. According to the professor pills are not effective in the long run, because they won’t fix root of the problem. The effect of the medication will wear off after time and therefore, the best treatment would be a long-lasting therapy.
Third, the report maintains that it is easier to handle the daily life with medication, because it is not interrupting the patient´s normal life. The professor opposes this point by proclaiming that patient´s have to consider the side effects of the medication. He contrary proclaims that the medicine will interrupt your daily-life. The medication will e.a. interrupt sleep cycles or even the appetite, and because we are consequently not sure how bad the side effects are, there could be even worse disadvantageous. Obviously, according to the professor, medication is only a short-time solution and a therapy the solution in the long-run, because it helps to solve the problem by its root.

    9. The topic of reading passage and lecture is about treatment of depression. The article states that medications are the best treatment modality for patients suffering from depression and provides three reasons of support. However, the lecture explains that drugs are not effective in treating depression and refutes each of the author’s reasons
Firstly, the article claims that medicines treat the cause of depression which is lack of chemical balance in the brain. The professor argues that the main reason of depression in negative events in life rather than chemical imbalance. According to him, although medications can correct the level of chemicals in brain but it cannot help a patient to recover from depressive state
Secondly, the reading posits that drugs provide relief for longer duration. The teacher opposes this point by saying that it is effective only for shorter time. Furthermore, he infers that as the effect of medication goes off, the person again goes back into state of depression .
Finally, the author reports that medicines do not interfere with paitient’s routine activities because of its easy oral administration. Nevertheless, the lecturer implies that it interrupts the daily activities of a person. Moreover, he suggests that side effects of a medicine can be very serious and distruptive . Besides, people have no idea about the severity of side effects as it varies from person to person

    10. Are you agree with me?

The reading passage and the lecture are both about if the use of medication is the best way against the depression.
The reading passage states that depression affects a lot of people worldwide and for that, many medications have been developed
In face of this statement, the professor in his lecture suggests that text’s idea is wrong casting doubt on the claims in the article.
First of all, the author of the reading mentions that medication helps people to fight against this condition called depression.
He believes that the brain´s patient requires a specific balance of chemicals to work properly.
This point is challenged by the lecturer who counters with the use of medication like a treatment for this conditions which are providing for depression.
He thinks there are several factors that produce this state such as, a loss of a familiar member.
Secondly, the reading passage present that the constant use of medication during years it is used to be successful.
He states that people who follow a treatment for a long time are able to continue a common life.
This argument is rebutted by the lecturer who believes that medication is not a solution along longer period and also people often feel in the same state of depression that the beginning.
Third, the author mentions that medication is so easy for patients who deal with another kind of treatment, for instance, therapy.
The lecturer argues again because he is of the opinion that these treatments are false.
Furthermore, the lecturer adds that the use of pills for a long time affect some aspect, for example, sleeping or appetite.
In conclusion, the lecturer effectively casts doubts on all of the claims presented in the reading.

    11. the reading passage and the lecture are about the remedy of depression, which is considered as the burning psycological problem wordlwide.
the author of the reading believes that medication is the best solution to depression .the lecturer casts doubt on claims made in the reading passage.
the lecturer thinks that other clinical solutions are way better than medication .

first of all, the author points out that meedication helps to treat the chemical imbalance in brain which ,he thinks is major cause of depression. its
mentioned that the change in chemical concentration engenders dramatic effect on mood and hence leads to depression. this point is challanged by the lecturer.
he says abnormality in chemical composition isnt the casuse of depression.she elaborates on this by mentioning that people often feel depressed when they face
negative experiences such as death of relative and so on further.

secondly, the author contends that mediaction helps to treat depression without inturrupting the daily routine of an individual.the article notes that excersizing
medication once or twice a day isnt a great deal for the patients. the lecturer rebuts the argument. he suggests that people find medical methods easier than medication.
furthermore , he argues that taking pills helps people maintain their day to day activity rather than the disturbing medication.

finally, the author states that mediaction treats deperssion without leaving any side effects.the article establishes that the the clinical treatment often are found
worsening the condition.the lecturer, on the other hand , posits on erronious imformation by revealing the side effects of medication.he puts forward the idea that medication
often lead to appetite problems and disruption in sleep cycle.

in conclusion, the lecturer effectively casts doubt on the claims of reading passage passage about the best solution for depression:medication or medical methods.

    12. First, the reading explains that the medication is the only one solution of the depression and the most common cause of depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain. However, the professor refutes that idea by explaining that the medication is not solution of the depression as many doctors suggested is simplistic and it is not cause of depression is a chemical imbalance. The biggest cause of problem is negative experience such as lots of factor like death of brother, sister, and mother. This is the most common cause of depression.

Second, the reading explicates that the medication is effective in many cases and treat depression for several years with fulfilling lives than other therapy. On the other hand, the professor says that the medication is not long lasting treatment it is just for a while. Afterwards, patient back to depression they feel same depression. According to the professor, the medication is inaccurate. Actually, therapy better works on root system of brain than medication. So, patients feel better and it is long lasting.

Finally, In the reading suggests that the medication is easier for the patient than other forms of treatment. However, the professor confutes that idea of reading by saying that patients take few peels is easy but lots of side effect on human activity such as sleeping and appetite. There are lots of side effect which may not foresee. All the factor of medication is not reliable. Eventually, professor says that he adequate the different therapy and different type of solution on depression.

    13. The reading and lecture are both about different aspects of depression in human at present situation and how to deal with this. The author of the reading believes that medication is the effective solution for depression. The lecturer casts doubt on his claims made in article. He thinks that therapy would be the best solution for depression in a long time scale.

First of all, the author claims that to cure depression fully we have to know the source of the problem. He also mention that depression is due to the cause of chemical imbalance in human's brain. So to cure it naturally medication is the only known best way other than any therapy. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He says that, negative situation like father's death or any accident can lead to a patient in depressed state and to cure this depression with medication is not best way.

Secondly, the author states that to get a depression free life patient should do medication as medication is very effective in a long time. Even he mentions one example that many patients now living there life in a fullest although they have a hectic life schedule & that because of medication. This arguments is rebutted by the lecturer. He suggests that medication is effective for only in short time. Over time it will loose its impact of effectiveness and eventually patients would return to h/her previous states.

Finally, The author mentions that medication is very easy to continue than any other therapy. The authors opinion is that, maintaining a regular schedule is very much essential for depression & it does not have any side effect thus this the best way. The lecturer on the other hand feels that medication only supress the problem for a short time thus, for better result therapy is required. He also mention that medication changes patients sleep cycle and other habit. So Medication does not have any bad side effect is just simply misleading statement.

    14. Can someone please give me a nice feedback on this essay ? thank you very much. ^.^

The reading and the lecture both talk about the depression which affects millions of people around the world, and the medication which uses to treat it. While the author states that medication is very helpful, useful and the best way to treat the depression and fight against it, the lecturer says that there are a lot of debates about how to deal with it, also he says that the medication is not the best answer to treat the depression.

First of all, the reading posits that the medication can help to treat the main cause of depression because it helps to balance the chemicals in the brain and make them at its natural amounts. The professor refutes this by stating that the chemicals unbalance in the brain is not the main reason of the depression, the experiences and unhappy events, like the death of a friend or a brother, are the main cause of it. He states that the medication can help to balance again the chemicals on the brain but for sure it can not balance and treat that sad experience.

In addition, the reading claims that medication is an effective way to treat the depression which has been proved with large number of cases. However, the lecture argues that the medication is nothing but a short term solution. The professor says that the medication is not effective at all with the long term cases.

Lastly, the reading passage makes an argument that the medication is a very easy way that patients can deal with. It is pretty much easier for them than other forms of treatment, therapy for example. The lecture opposes this point by pointing out that the continuous using of medication, every day and every many hours will cause bad and dangerous side effects like sleep interruption for example. According to the professor, we do not know how exactly the side effects of the medication will be on the patients, so medication is not safe because its dangerous and unpredictable effects.

    15. Can someone please give me his/her feedback on this?

The reading and the lecture are both about depression, which is a growing problem in our society. The author of the reading believes that Medication is the best way to treat depression rather than other treatments. The lecturer casts his doubt on this, and states that therapy is the best way to treat depression.

Firstly, the author claims that depression is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain, and by far the only successful treatment for these imbalances is, Medication. On the other hand, the lecturer points out that there can be other reasons for a per to be depressed. He says that any negative experience, like death of the close ones, may be your mother, father, spouse or any other family member can also be a reason for depression. The lecturer thinks medication can just improve chemical balances but it can't help in fighting depression.

Secondly, the author states that medication has helped thousands of people to overcome this problem of depression. It's mentioned in the reading that none of the other treatments have yet proven as effective as medication has. On the contrary, the lecturer rebuts this statement made by author. He beleives that medication is just a short term solution for this problem, we can supress this feeling for some time, but it will come back to us in the longer run. It's just an atrificial way to make a person avoid the feeling of depression. He says that the therapy reaches the root cause of the problem and eradicates depression forever.

Finally, the author has made a point about the ease of taking the treatment using medicines. He puts up a point that medications are usually taken once or twice per day thus do not disrupt the patient's day to day life. According to him the person's schedule is important in to have a depression free life. The lecturer, however, refutes this point and even though it's easy to take pills but it can have several side-effects like loss of appetite, disturbed sleep cycle and many more.

    16. Can anybody read my text and give me an approximated mark?

      The passage states
that medication is the most effective way to treat depression.
However, the lecturer counters the reading by saying that medications
are not the best solution for depression.
      The lecturer starts
supporting that there are many factors that can deal someone to
depression, contradicting the text`s statement that chemical
imbalance are responsible for this disease. The lecturer present as
examples family troubles as relative death.
      Moreover, in the
listening it is said that medicines can not help patients in a long
term period and while the text defends that medication are effective,
once that a great number of patients have became able to live normally
after going thought this kind of treatment.

      In addition, the
lecturer argues the argument of the text that medications are easier
by saying that therapy is more efficient because it deals the patient to
the root of his problem. He also concerns the argument that
medication do not disturb life when he presents that the patient`s
organism may differ and some people may have bad sleep times and
      other problems while using medicines.

    17. Any one please correct my writing?

The reading and the lecture are both about despression, which is a condition that has adverse impacts on people's daily life and ability to function. The author of the reading believes that medication is the perfect weapon to fight against depression. However, the lecturer cast doubt on the claims made in article. He strongly believes that medication isn't the ultimate way to overcome depression, and that is for several reasons.

First of all, the author points out that a chemical imbalance in the brain, is the root cause of depression. It is mentioned that, Abnormal levels of specific chemicals may have an adverse effect on our mood and breed depression. According to the author, the only known way to tackle this imbalance is medication. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He says that people often mistake the roots of depression, and that relating this condition to a chemical imbalance in brain is false and inaccurate.
Furthermore, he argues that any sort of negative experiences such as the loss of a relative may trigger depression.

Secondly, the author contends that medication has shown its efficiency. The article notes that many patients who use this kind of treatment for several year, are now enjoying a happy and prosperous life, despite their condition. The lecturer rebuts this argument. He posits that medication is a short-time solution. He elaborates on this by mentioning that this type of treatment lose its efficiency over time.

Finally, the author claims that unlike other forms such as therapy, medication helps patients to deal with their depression without affecting their everyday life. The lecturer, on the other hand, suggests that therapy is the ultimate treatment for depression. she puts forth the idea that therapy addresses the roots of depression, while medication allow us to ignore depression, instead of beating it. Also, he states that medication has many side-effects such as lack of sleep which makes it a doubtful option for treating depression.

    18. May I ask someone to grade my essay?

The reading and the lecture are both about depression, which is a condition that affects negatively on people’s moods. The author of the reading believes that medication is the best way to treat the depression. The lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article. He thinks that depression can not be treated by the medications.

First of all, the author points out that medication helps to prevent the depression. It states that people suffer from the depression because of chemical changes in the brain. This point challenged by the lecturer. He says that firstly people should define what causes the depression. Furthermore, he argues that not a chemical changes in the brain cause a depression, but the emotional state. For example the death of the spouse, brother sister, etc. Therefore it should not be treated by the pills.

Secondly, the author contends that medication successfully helped numerous of people. The article notes that many patients are now able to live a normal life. The lecturer rebuts this argument. He suggests that medication gives only a short term solution, which becomes not effective after a long period of time. He elaborates on this by mentioning that when patients stop to take pills and depression left them, over the time they start to feel as they felt before.

Finally, the author states that the medication is the form of treatment that is easy to follow. The lecturer, on the other hand, points that people should find the root of depression before taking a medicine. The final effect can be dangerous and unpredictable. People do not have an idea which side of the brain will affect the medication.

    19. The reading and the lecture are about depression treatment. The author points out that the chemical imbalances in a brain cause depression, which can be cured by medicinal treatment. The lecturer casts doubt on the claim made in the article. He argues that many factors cause depression, which can’t be treated effectively only by taking pills.
The author claims that depression mostly happens due to the imbalance of the chemical levels in the brain. The medicine helps adjust the abnormal levels of these chemicals. The point is challenged by the lecturer. He states that negative experiences such as death of lovers are the most important causes of depression. Medicine is not the best way to treat depression. He elaborates on the claim that the real relieve from this condition comes from helping the patients get through difficult situations.
Secondly, the author suggests that medicinal treatments have been approved for a long time. Other treatments are still questionable. Patients can live normally and also medicinal treatment is most effective. The lecturer rebuts this point. He notes that although the medicine can help the patients practically, it can help for short time period. Without taking the pills, the depression would come back again. The best way to cure this condition is solving the root cause of the problem.
Finally, the author argues that taking pills for controlling this condition is expedient. Sometimes the patients need to take pills only one or two times a day. Their daily lives are not affected by this treatment. The lecturer, on the other hand, says that the point of the author is incorrect. Many patients suffer from side effects of medicine such as changing sleep cycles and loss of appetite. It is not pleasant at all taking the pills everyday. Moreover, he says that the medicinal treatment is not the best way to treat depression and he will find other ways to cure this condition.

    20. Hi can i have any feedback? 🙂
Both the lecture and passage discuss depression and how it should be treated. While the passage says that medication is the best solution for depression the lecturer argues the idea by saying it is not the right answer.
Firstly the passage claims that medication helps with chemical imbalance but the lecturer states that because the cause of depression may not always be chemical imbalance and also can sometimes be experiences one has in daily life it won't always work for every patient.
Then the passage says that medication has proved its effectiveness and was successful on numerous patients. The lecture argues this by saying that medication is not a long term treatment and the depression usually comes back once you stop taking the pills.
Lastly the passage believes that medical treatment is easier to cope with than any other treatment since it does not stop you from your daily activities. Conversly the lecture points out that medications you take can really have a bad effect on your sleep cycle appetite etc. and saying medication won't have an influence on these is specious.

    21. The author of the reading passage claims that medication is the best method to treat depression. However, the lecturer casts doubt on the statement made in the article. He explains that medication is not an effective way to fight against this condition, and by saying so, he refutes each of the three reasons presented in the reading passage.

First of all, the author claims that medication deals directly with the cause of depression, which is the result of a chemical imbalance in the brain of patients. But the lecturer rebuts this by saying that this reason is too simple to explain the causes of the condition, and that there are much more factors to it. According to the lecturer, depression can be caused by any negative experience an individual has undergone, such as the death of a loved one. He adds that medication is not able to treat these experiences to get rid of depression.

Secondly, the author suggests that medication is the most effective way ever prescribed to patients. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He posits that medication is only a short-time solution and that it will eventually wear off. And since the condition is caused by traumatic experiences, it can only be fight of with therapy, which constitutes a more persistent solution. Therapy will be able to attack the roots of depression in contrast to medication, which will only suppress and ignore the core reason of the condition.

Lastly, the author states that medication is an easier treatment for the depressed patients because it doesn't interrupt their day-to-day life. The lecturer, on the other hand, explains that there are many side effects to medication that will definitely disrupt the patients' life schedule, like loss of appetite or insomnia. Furthermore, he emphasizes on the fact that the reaction is unpredictable because the pills act differently on each person. Even the clinical trials are not enough to resolve this problem of side effects.

    22. Can someone read pleaseeeeeeeeee?

The lecture and the reading passage state an important concern in the day life of people anywhere. The depression is a disease that affects lives, and has been increasing over the years. The subject discussed is whether medicament is the best treatment or not. The lecturer and the author of the text disagree in each of their statements about it.

Firstly, the passage defends that medicaments are a good choice to combat depression, this because the origin of it is the lack of chemical elements in an individual’s brain, thus to recover is necessary to find the balance of it, in addition it claims that it has been developed many alternative and recent medications to be used.

Secondly, the lecturer himself opposes the reading in every single statement, he claims that medication is not the best choice of treatment, instead, he surely believes that it is a short solution, thus, after time it will not last long, this because it is not so effective after a period of time. Furthermore, while the reading claims that people with depression need a daily routine with medication, the lecturer points to the side effects of the daily use, such as, the changes of appetite or sleep issues.

Lastly, the lecturer highly recommend therapy as a treatment since it would assist to find the root of depression, its causes and also would be less disruptive and invasive to someone’s life.

    23. (Please rate this article guys )

The articles state that the medication is the best way to fight against the depression for patients and provides the three reasons of the supports. however, the professors explain that the medication is not the best solution to culminate off from the depression he also refuses each of the reasons.

First, the reading claims that the main causes of the depression are the imbalances in the brains of the patients and treatment is only medication, on the other hand, the professors refuse and says that main root of causing depression is loss of spouse, brothers, sister and any other member of family but not the chemical imbalances.

Second, the article posits that none of the treatment is effective as the medication has, there are many forms of depression and it is easier and accurate form to deal with the patients. However, the professors say principally Medical is designed to solve the and give the assurance for the long-term solution. According to him, medication is not effective.

Third, the reading says that the when a person is gone through depression it is beneficial to do medication one’s or twice a day however the professors states that the patients have to take pills day to day life and he also says that medication is not useful at every stage because treatment has side effects and it is not the best way to treat with medication.

    24. The reading and lecture are both about depression and its medication. The lecturer casts doubts on the claims made in the article.

Firstly, the reading states that Medication helps to treat the cause of depression as it happens due to chemical imbalance. The lecturer opposes this claim by saying that any negative experience could be the cause of depression such as Death and other things.

Secondly, the reading states that Medication has proven effective and patients are able to fulfilling their lives. The lecturer refutes this by saying that taking pills is an artificial treatment and it has no permanent effect on patient. Furthermore, he says that Therapy is considered most effective that this.

Lastly, the reading points out that medication is easier than therapy because patient has to take pills once or twice a day and it's not disruptive treatment and those who undergoes therapy are less likely to recover. The lecturer contradicts this by saying that therapy is way too helpful because it does not affect patient's sleep and appetite as well.

    25. The reading and lecture are both about depression, which is a big problem in our modern society. The author of the reading believes that depression can be treated with the help of medication. The lecturer casts doubt on the claims made in the article. He thinks that medications are not the best approach in helping people with depression because they don’t target the cause of the problem.

First of all, the author points out that medication is directed towards the cause of depression. He mentioned that this problem appears because of the imbalance of chemicals in our brain and the only way to bring it in order is by using medication. This point is challenged by the lecturer. He says, the cause of depression is not in our brain chemicals but mostly because of negative experiences that we had in the past. Furthermore, he argues that medications can not help to solve this disorders but only make them worse treating the wrong way.

Secondly, the author contends that medication was successfully used to treat people. The article notes that thousands of patients were helped to overcome their mind battles by using medication. The lecturer rebuts this argument. He suggests that medication is only a short term solution. He elaborates on this by mentioning how people that suffered from depression and stopped using medication, very soon came back to the same state of mind.

Finally, the author states that it is easier for the patient to be treated with medications. The article establishes that using pills is very convenient because it doesn’t complicate the day to day life of the patient as therapy would. The lecturer on the other hand, posits that no matter how much time is used to treat someone with the help of therapy, it is worth all the time in the world. He puts forth the idea that medication has a lot of side effects interrupting sleeping cycle and having a negative impact on the brain. Medication definitely disturbs the normal life and it should be the last measure in treating such a psychological disease like depression.

    26. would someone rate my text please?
The lecture contradicts the text by stating that medication is not the most effective way to treat depression. First, medication treats chemical disbalance rather than the real factors of depression which could be for example the death of a beloved one. Moreover, medication can only be used as a short-term solution in the treatment of depression and in most cases bring side effects such as sleep disturbs.

    27. The reading and the lecture are both about treatment of depression. The reading stats that the medication is the best way to treatment depression, and provides three reason for support. However, the professor casts doubt on the claims made in the reading. He says that medication is not the best way to treat depression. He refutes each of the author’s reasons.
First of all, the reading states that by medical bills we can treat the cause of depression which is chemical imbalance in the brain. However, the professor refutes this point by explaining that there many causes for depression rather than chemical imbalance. He adds for example death of relative can cause depression for the father or the Mather.
Second, the reading claims that medication is effective in treatment of numerous cases of depression. The professor on the other hand challenge this point by illustrating that medical pills are short time treatment and they are not long time treatment , furthermore he says that medication couldn’t use for long term, and he adds, instead of the medication, we can use therapeutic treatment,
Finally, the reading posits that medical pills are easy to use for treating depression because we use the pills once or twice a day. In contrast, the professor argues this point by saying that there are many side effects for use of medication. He puts forth the idea that use of pills cause many side effects for example sleep problems.

    28. Rate my text please!! 🙂

The reading and the lecture are both about depression and the different ways to treat it. The author of the reading believes that medication is the best way to treat depression. The lecture casts doubt on the claims in the article. He believes that the best way to treat depression is therapy.

First of all, the author points out that medication helps to treat the cause of depression. It is mentioned that abnormal levels of specific chemicals in the human brain affect person’s mood. This is challenged by the lecture. He says that medication is not the answer of the cause of depression. Furthermore, he argues that there are other factors that can cause depression like negative experiences as the death of family.

Secondly, the author contends that medication of depression has proven effective in numerous cases. The articles notes that this way of treatment has been successfully used to treat depression for several years. The lecturer rebuts this argument. He suggests that medication is a short solution to the main problem. She elaborates on this by mentioning that the medication will work only for a time and it will not last.

Finally, the author states that medication is more easy to deal with than other forms of treatment. The article establishes that other form of treatment are destructive and can affect the daily life of patients. The lecture, on the other hand, posits that therapy is less destructive than medication. He puts forth the idea that therapy does not have side effects. He explains that medication for depression can cause the lost of sleep and appetite.

    29. Could someone comment this? 🙂

Both the reading and the lecture observe the ways of how to treat depression. In the lecture, the professor made several points about therapy as the best way to treat depression. The teacher argues that therapy could help patients to overcome depression without side effects of medication. However, the reading contends that medication is the best way to treat the disease. The professor’s lecture casts doubt on the reading by using a number of points that prove the medication is not the best way to treat disease.

The reading claims that medication could treat the cause of depression. According to the reading, depression appears due to the chemical imbalance in the brain that could increase a level of special chemicals which could lead to the appearance of depressive feelings. However, the professor casts doubt on that statement by claiming that origin of depression is commonly mistaken because of the too simplistic approach. The professor purports that depression is caused not only by chemical imbalances but because of the difficult situations in patients’ lives, such as death of relatives. As a result, medications are not able to help people to overcome difficulties in their life.

Additionally, the reading claims that medication is proven to be the best way to treat depression. The reading states that a great number of patients used medication as a treatment and they succeed. On the contrary, the professor’s lecture casts doubt on that point by claiming that medication has a short-term effect and not cure the disease. The teacher argues that only therapy could reach the long term effect and cure patients inasmuch as it looks at the roots of depression while medication offers artificial way to ignore problems.

Finally, the reading states that the usage of medications is easier for patients due to the fact that it does not disrupt their everyday life. However, the professor claims that such statement is inaccurate inasmuch as medications have side effects, such as disruption of sleep circle or lose of appetites, that could disrupt everyday life. Moreover, according to the lecture, these side effects are often unpredictable and difficult to oversee. As a consequence, therapy is much less disruptive than medication.
In conclusion, the points that were made by professor contrast to the reading. The treating of chemical imbalance, short-term effect and side effects demonstrate that medication as the best way to treat depression is in doubt.

    30. The passage states that the medication is the best way to treat depression. However, the
lecturer indicates that the medication is not a good way but the therapy is a
      better way.
First of all, the passage indicates that the medication treats the source of depression. According to the
passage, the source of depression is chemical imbalance in someone’s brain. On
the other hand, the lecturer cites that the explanation of depression according
to the passage is too simple. Depression is more complex such as death of close
      family member.
Secondly, the passage indicates that the medication is the best way to treat depression. In contrast, the
lecturer argues that the medication is a short-term solution. It is has no
      meaning in long-term.

Thirdly and lastly, according to the passage, the medication is an easy way. It has no effect on daily routine.
People can easily live their lives. On the other hand, the lecturer argues that
the therapy is the best way to deal with depression. Also the lecturer states
that medication can have many side effects that people cannot even know. Maybe
the therapy can disrupt patient’s daily life but it is the best way.

    31. Depression

      The
passage explains what depression is and suggests medication as the best solution
giving few reasons that support that claim, However, the professor in the
lecture disagrees and refutes these claims each at a time .

      First ,
the reading states that depression is caused by chemical imbalances in the
brain and thus Medication is the best solution to treat these imbalances and so
to help people to overcome depression , But the professor opposes this claim by
saying that the main cause of depression is not chemical imbalances but it is rather
the negative experiences one can go through like the death of a family member
or a failure etc .. So he thinks medication is not the answer to the depression
      problem.

      Second ,
the passage claims that medication helped too many people with depression to
live fulfilling lives and for many years , a point opposed by the lecturer in
the listening by assuring that Medication is a short term solution and the
person will feel depressed again once the effect of the medication wears off ,
but therapy on the other hand helps to treat the roots of depression and thus
      it is better than medication.

      Third ,
the passage says that medication is the best treatment method and it's better
than therapy, since medication doesn't interrupt the patient's everyday life so
patients can maintain their regular schedule , but the professor refute this
point by saying that medication has too many side effects that can disrupt the
patients' regular schedule like breaking sleep cycles or losing appetite etc..
and he says that he prefers to give patients better treatments than medication.

    32. why does the video have to make the script 'roll up' to a screen? This is nothing like what a real TOEFL screen would show! Ugh Just when I thought I found some good materials to practice…

    33. I think it is too bad,I fucked up.20 min is too short to write something well

The reading and lecture are about meditation, which is option for solve depression problem that have increased in society. The author of reading passage belives that meditation is best way yo handle depression. The lecturer cost doubts on the claims made in the article. She thinks that meditation is ot the best way for depression.

First of all,the author claims that depression is result of the imbalances in brain and it is chemical problem therefore we should focus on the chemical solution. This point is challaged by lecturer. She says that there are a lot of factor in depression we can’t categorized it just chemical it contains external and internal factors like brother, sister, social life etc.

Secondly the author states that medidation is usefull for depressing and is succsess with a lots of ways. The lecturer rebuts this argument she suggest that medidation is not effective way for depression and is not cause to feel better.

Finally, the author mentions that medidation is easier than thrapy he notes that depressive people who try to solve problem with thraphy need it date-to-date but in medidation they need two or three days in week. The lecturer ,on the other hand, state that meditation can cause side effect on depressive person and alsı can cause increasing on level of depression.

İn conlusion, the lecturer effectively casts doubt on all of claims and theories presented in the reading section.

    34. The article and the lecture both are discussing a growing concern problem which is treatment of depression, the article states that medication is currently the best way for patients to fight against depression and provides many reasons for that, while the lecture claims that therapy is a better option and the professor refutes each of the author's reasons.

First, the reading claims that the only known treatment for the chemical imbalances which cause depression is medication. However, the professor points that the chemical imbalance is a simplistic theory for the cause of depression, so in his point of view the main reason for depression is a negative experiences ( like death of spouse) is the main cause of depression.

Second, the article says that the medication for depression has proven effective in numerous cases. On the other hand, the professor says medications are short term solution and no long term benefits, while the behavioral therapy can know the root of the depression and treat it rather than just suppress the problem like what medication do.

Finally, the reading points to medication as an easy way for the patient to deal with than other forms of treatment such as therapy. But the professor says that these medications have many side effects such as sleep disturbances and appetite changes and different people act in different manners toward these medications.

All in all, the speaker advocates that medication is not a good choice for patient to treat depression.

    35. The reading and lecture talk about the prevalence of depression in the society. They both agree that depression is a major issue in our society. They however, strongly disagree on how it can be treated. The reading suggests that medication is the way to go but the lecture strongly disagrees with that opinion. The speaker in the lecture casts doubt on the arguments raised in the reading in many different ways.
First of all, he argues that the idea that depression is a result of chemical imbalance in the brain is simplistic. He further states that a lot of different factors can cause depression. He thinks that experiences that people go through are often responsible for depression not chemical imbalances as portrayed in the reading. To him, balancing the chemicals in one’s brains will not do much good if the depression is a result of a loss or other life experiences.
Secondly, the speaker contends that the argument that medication is most effective and proven way to treat depression is unfounded. He argues that even though sometimes medication helps reduce the pain of depressed people, this solution is temporary. He thinks that the victims will eventually go back to the situation after the effect of the medication wears off.
Finally, he suggests that medication makes life even more difficult for patients. He enumerates the potential side effects of medication to prove his points. He states that in some situations medication has a bigger impact on the daily activities of patients as compared to therapy.
In conclusion, the speaker thinks that medication only whitewashes the problems of depression and suggests finding a better solution to this canker in the society.

    36. The reading and the lecture both discuss the depression. While the reading states that medication is the best treatment for depression . the lecture refutes this by saying that medication isn't the optimal sulotion

First of all, the reading claims that depression is usually caused by a chemical imbalance in the body of the patient , and medication can treat the causes of depression. However, the lecture argues that chemical imbalance isn't the only cause of depression , there are multiple factors of depression such as a death of a sibling or a car accident , usually depression is caused by experiences of the patient not by the chemicals in his body

In addition, the reading makes the argument that the usage of medication to treat depression is effective for the most part, and the medications were used throughout the years. the lecture counters this point by stating that medications aren't a long term cure and for depression , medication only supress depression and makes the patient ignore it and the medication will wear off after a short period of time

lastly, the reading passage argues that medications are easy to use and the patient can handle medications easily and doesn't alter the patient's day. the lecture refutes this claim by pointing out that medications does affect the day of the patient because of the side effects of the medications , the side effect can disrupt the patient's sleep and also has many more effects

    37. Can you give some feedback plz

The reading states that medication is the best way to defeat depression and gives three reasons of support. However the professor explains that medications is not an answer for depression and refutes each of the author’s reasons.
Firstly the passage says that medication helps treat the cause of depression which is a chemical imbalance in the patient’s brain. Lack of particular chemicals can badly affect on one’s mood bringing about depression. The professor states the opposite saying that there are mistakes about the cause of depression and there are many factors that cause depression. According to professor negative experiences such as the death of someone close to you can also be a reason for depression.

Second, the author claims that medication is effective in numerous cases unlike other types of treatments it has been
successful at helping many patients to get rid of depression. The lecturer says that medication is not effective because it does not stop depression permanently rather it works for a short period of time. Medication is an artificial way of preventing people from feeling depressed, it does not defeat depression for a long term instead it starts wearing off after some time.

Finally the articles posits that medication is an easier method to stop depression than other treatments such as therapy. The professor opposes this point by explaining that unlike medication, therapy allows patients address the roots of depression. In comparison to therapy medication suppresses depression and makes patients ignore it. The professor further states that although medication is easier to use and it does not distract you from your schedule, it has side affects such as disorder of sleeping cycles, having no appetite and others. Different people may have different reactions to pills they take which they cannot foresee making it clear that medication is not the best treatment type against depression.

    38. Evaluation please ????

The main topic in the reading passage and the professor discussion is how to treat the depression that affects millions of people in the all planet. The author gave many support ideas, and all of them was refuted by the speaker providing some new and oppose argues.

According to the article, depression is helping with medication treatment, for example, people have depression when their brain has chemicals dysfunction, and pills are the best way to treat patients because they supplement the deficiency. The professor is in disagreeing, and he says that medications are not the answer because some doctors do multiple mistakes treating the chemical imbalance as principal cause. However, many other factors produce depression such as, negative experiences when they loss any family members.

Second, the article states that medications have been a good solution to treat depression for long term. The professor disclaims that medication just help patients with depression in a short period of the time but not in a long term because they don’t treat the root of the problem just they help with the clinical signs. That why the treatments are inaccurate to help with the depression.

Finally, the author expresses that if any patient uses the medications early and in a good way they do not disrupt the patient’s life and they will feel better, while the speaker says that medicines have multiple side effects for instance, anorexia and insomnia. The negative effects are more dangerous than the depression, and He recommended using another alternative of treatment to help patients with depressions.

    39. Guys I want your feedback

Both, the passage and the speaker talk about depression. In the passage, the author states that medication is currently the best way for patients to fight against depression. However, the speaker disagrees and argues that medication is not permanent solution to the disease.

First, the reading opines that medication helps treat the cause of depression by balancing the chemicals in the brain. The speaker casts doubt and argues that chemical imbalance is not only the cause of the disease. In addition to this, there are lots of other factors contributing to depression. Negative experience of death of spouse, parents, children and other traumatic incident could lead to depression. Thus, medications are only designed to balance chemicals and they cease to deal with other complex factors causing depression.

Next, the passage claims that medication has proven effective in numerous cases. Again, the professor contradicts. According to the professor, medication is just a short term remedy. They do not have consistent impacts over longer time. The effect of medication wears off and again the patient notices the relapse of the symptoms. Hence, the professor refutes with this idea of the passage.

Finally, the reading posits that patients find easier to deal with medication rather than other forms of treatment such as therapy. The professor disapproves this point as well. He argues that therapy can reach up to the root of the cause of depression and cures the disease while medication just suppresses the symptoms of disease. He further elaborates that medication comes along with side effects while therapy does not. By the side effects of medication, patients have problems regarding sleeping patterns, appetite, etc. Therefore, he says that therapy can be a way better than medication.

Hence, the speaker advocates that medication is not a good choice for patient to cure the depression.

    40. Hello Michael, could you rate my answer so I could know if I'm on the right path ?
      Thank you very much !!
      Zeev

      Answer :

The article states that medication is currently the best choice of treatment for patients against depression and provides three reasons of support. However the professor explains that medication is not the answer and refutes each of the author’s reasons.

First, the reading claims that medication helps treat the “root” of depression. The professor refutes this point by saying that that kind of assumption is based purely on “chemical imbalances” and ignores the fact that it can be caused by someone’s experience like a death of a very close person (brother, sister etc…).

Second, the article posits that medication has proven effective in many cases and helped patients to overcome their condition. However the professor says that medication is a short term solution and is not effective for a long period of time. According to the professor, Therapy helps to treat the “root” of the depression than just ignore it for a while like medication does.

Third, the reading says that medication is easier for the patient to deal with than other modalities of treatment such as therapy. The professor opposes this point by explaining that although it’s easy for patients to take pills a couple of times per day , it does disrupt patient’s life ! We also learn that There are many side effects of medications , for example : sleep and appetite issues.

    41. Please specialist linguists rate my writing below!

In the written passage is the informtion about depression , its causes and treatment methods . There is given that depression's physilogical reason is chemical disbalance in human's brain. Also, there is written how to cure a depression with medicaments , which may help sick people to fight against the depression. As an supporting idea for medicaments treatment are brought facts , that with pills taking people can live their everyday life and don't disrupt their routine. And by this way they can feel themselves more convenient than in case of therapy treatment.

The lecturer says that he doesn't agree with written passage about depression treatment methods. He thinks that treatment with medication is not perfect and sometimes it can be even damage patient's health. Reasons for his opinions are several . First of all he says that with this kind of treatment patients may have another troubles with their health such as problems with appetite , heart problems etc.. Because that kind of medicines are making expositions on other systems in organizm, Secondly he says that chemical disbalance is not the last reason for depression and it has its own reasons . And , when diagnosing , doctors must understand actual reasons for this disbalance and after this they will be able to cure the reasons for this disbalance . As an example reasons for mentioned above disbalance can be different and when doctors can truly identify these reasons maybe they can easily treat patient and give him/her opportunity to live without any pill taking in his/her everyday life.

To sum up we can say that medicamentos taking kind of treatment for depression is effective in many cases but it is not the best way to cure everyone suffering from deprssion . Doctors must understand the actual reasons for their patient's depression for right treatment.

    42. Rate mine plz !!!
He lecturer corrects many facts the author of the writing claims about the medicines are the best way to treat depression. Although the writing suggests that medication is currently the best way to treat depression, the lecturer says the recent research agree that physical therapy is the best way to treat depression.
To begin with, the lecturer points out, contrary to the writing, that the people mistaken the cause of the depression. According to the speaker, the depression can be because of negative experience or the lost of loved one. He argues that doctors believe that depression is a chemical imbalance not a negative experience.
Additionally, the speaker disagree with the article’s claims that medication shown proven to many depression cases. Instead he argues that medication can show improvement for short time period not for the long term. Also, he says physical therapy allows patient to find the real cause of the depression, and work on solve the problem for the rest of his life.
Lastly, the speaker disagree with the medication is a better treatment for the patient to use as claimed by the writing. Instead, the lecturer argues that side effects of the medicine can affect the life style of the patient. He adds that medication can interfere with the patient sleep pattern and appetite. Finally, he points out people will act differently for the medication, and that doctors are not aware how bad the medication will affect the patients.

    43. Can anyone rate it please and give me your review on it?

Reading explains that medication is the best way to treat depression and supports this by proving 3 reasons. However, the profession refutes each of the author's reason and claims medication is not the answer.
the passage points that depression happens due to chemical imbalance which is treated by medication. But the lecturer refutes this point by saying that depression happens due to many factors and it depends on many situations. For example, death of any relative in family.
Secondly, According to reading medication is effective way to control depression.Nevertheless, listening defines that medication is sort term solution. Medicines effective for long term.
Finally, Reading supports that medication is easier than therapy and we can do medication for 1 or 2 days in a weak. And Also Medication does not affects our daily to daily life. But the professor refutes this by telling that pills are easy to take.Only few pills can treat depression.Clinical way has make our life easy and It also does not affects our sleep cycle as medication does.
I also learn that whenever we get depressed we should take pills which make our life simple. Also We are going enjoy our life as pills do not show any side effects in our body.

    44. please, will somebody rate my essay?

The author in the passage is talking about the treatment of depression, he says there is a debate over the treatment methods, but he believes that the medicine is the best treatment available for curing depression. The lecturer refutes the statement of doctor and does not believe in using medicine as proper treatment of depression. However, he acknowledges the fact that there is a growing depression rate and there are debates over the treatment of the cause.

The author explains that the main cause of the depression is chemical imbalance in the patient's brain. These chemical trigger depression by affecting the patient's mood. The lecturer opposes the statement of doctor regarding the main cause of depression. He says, it is a common mistake made by doctors in understanding the main cause. There are many factors that can trigger depression such as death of spouse, parents, close relatives etc. He states that the medical treatment cures the chemical imbalance in the brain, not the depression.

The author states that the medicine has been able to cure the depression of thousands of people successfully, whereas the other methods such as therapy have not been effective. The lecturer refutes the statement by saying that the medicine are just the short term solution to the problem, it does not cure the depression. The patient after taking medication does not feel depression for certain time until the effect of medicine is over. Hence he method is shortsighted and inaccurate.

The author also posits that, taking medicine does not disrupt the routine of patient, as they have to take medicine once or twice a year, unlike therapy which takes lot of effort. The lecturer refutes the author's point by stating that the therapy cures the root cause of depression and does not give a temporary solution. He also says, there are various side effects of the medicine like loss of sleep and appetite. People react differently to different medicine.

To conclude, the lecturer finds the medicine misleading and he strongly suggests that one should choose therapy to treat depression.
