    2. Thanks… this was the best explanation of the stock market and the great depression I ever had

    3. just like now, history always bites those who doesn't pay close attention, its coming around again, same game, new dummies, those that caused this told there kids the plan,it is being implemented as of NOW,HANG ON,BUY SILVER AND LEAVE GOLD FOR THE RICH,WE NEVER LEARN

    4. It was the decrease in the price of crops that caused the great depression. Farmers borrowed money from the banks to expand their business and used the money they made off their crops to pay back the loan. But massive tech advancements in agriculture caused the prices of food to fall, which prevented farmers from making enough money to pay back their loan. 70% of the economy was based off farming, which is why it caused so much damage to the economy.

    5. You're awesome. Crashes are a bummer, but there's a moral to this story. Exploiting workers doesn't work forever.

    6. you do know the crash did not create the depression, but you also fail to mention the inflation caused during 24 and 27 to deflate the pound which maid it look like prices were getting hire when they were not, false speculation
what caused the depression was the tariffs this resulted in other countries doing the same, and what are you talking about hoover was a big spender, he came up with Keynesian economics before Keynesian.
      P.s. Keynesian economics don't work

    7. Herbert Hoover was no laissez-faire capitalist. He met up with the industrial leaders and got promises from them for higher wages. He also started public works projects and ordered governors in the states to do them. The reason for the depression was the Fed pumping in too much liquidity. The reason why the depression was Great was because Hoover and subsequently Roosevelt kept intervening. His own presidential library backs it up (http://hoover.archives.gov/exhibits/Hooverstory/gallery06/index.html)
