    Recognizing the Signs of Depression

    Comments 1

    1. I'm 46. I was diagnosed with social anxiety, depression and ADD about two years ago. I was put on antihistamine first, then adderall. Months ago, I chose to quit medicating myself. during that time I also began talking to God, asking why questions, reading my Bible daily. Also, during that time, I felt I was among family and friends who seemed to be more in denial than myself, so I chose to just accept the way I am and bury myself in my Bible. I'm not claiming any miracles, but I have found God's Word to be my only, ONLY real recourse for help in this. I can relate moreso, now, to people such as Moses, Gideon… It hurts to see my daughter struggle (alone in her room with no friends) knowing all too well what she's going through… not being able to help under same circumstances which prevent me… a wife who is in total denial… I just pray, pray, read my Bible and pray some more… It keeps me from church, prevents me from advancing in any career and meaningful friendships, but through it all, God seems so close to me – Jesus seems so very close. He is my strength… Psalm 105:4
      & Psalm 37 :4.
