Explaining ‘The Inflamed Mind: a radical new approach to depression’

In this book that changes the game, the professor of the University of Cambridge, Edward Bullmore, reveals the new and revolutionary science on the link between depression and the inflammation of the body and the brain. It explains how and why we now know that mental disorders can originate in the immune system and describe a future revolution in which treatments could specifically target breaking the vicious circle of stress, inflammation and depression.

    1. Thought provoking talk by Ed Bullmore at the Hay Festival – makes so much sense. Refreshing to see an approach to mental health that views the body working in synergy and the causal effect. Now onto reading the book!

    2. Incredible connection between inflammation cancer, Alzheimer's and mental illness.

      Alternatively:
Emotional trauma->damage like effect on brain->immune response to damage?
