    Does Stress Cause Depression?

    1. Douglas, this absolutely 90% of what I'm experiencing. Medication, music, and meditation helps but I continuously reach out to professionals add help to what im already doing. Thank you again and hope you are well

    2. I wish I'd seen this video a few years ago when I was going through a dark period. A lot makes sense now. Thank you again, Douglas.

    3. I think stress isn't always the cause of depression cause it is indeed possible to be depressed without actually having stress precipitate it. And the depression itself can be stressful as I'm sure you probably know! So a vicious cycle where the depression which came randomly creates stress which creates more depression

    4. Douglas, I would advise you to go for the ECT. I have seen it used with GREAT POSITIVE EFFECT. The film industry has a lot to answer for, due to the NEGATIVE light they have cast upon ECT, they're mantra should be WHY LET THE TRUTH GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD STORY, e.g. One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. ECT is conducted under general anaesthetic so you experience nothing unpleasant. As for the short-term memory loss, well this is by far the LESSER OF TWO EVILS, the other EVIL being the CRUSHING DEPRESSION you're going through..God bless.
