ASMR Why have I been away? [My burnout story]


In this ASMR video, you can sit back and relax with the headphones on! I will talk about my very personal story, I hope that in this way mental health is a little more accepted and understood!
In this ASMR Ramble video I will talk about the fact that I have not been posting many videos lately. I will tell you how it turned into exhaustion and I will share with you the symptoms that you need to pay attention to if you are working too hard on your brain. Hopefully this video whisper from ear to ear also comfort you to sleep!
The triggers are: deep ear whispers, soft voice, mouth sounds, fingers flutter, visual triggers, whispers from ear to ear, breathy whispers, binaural sounds, mouth sounds, personal attention, tingling up close.

Who I am :
My name is Isabel and I am Dutch. My approach to ASMR videos is to combine entertainment in a form of imagination and fantasy (almost like in a movie) with relaxation. All wrapped in a video for you. In this way, you can enjoy my videos before going to bed to fall asleep more easily, or you can simply take a moment of relaxation during the day to calm down and relieve stress.
I have been posting ASMR videos since June 20, 2016! I hope you like it!

    1. Hey guys, thank you for watching my video. This was very scary for me to publish, it's so private and vulnerable. I just hope by me opening up about my mental health problems, that maybe other people can relate and feel understood or maybe people will recognize the symptoms and get help. I just hope this will help someone! 🤗

You actually showed me what was wrong I always thought it was stress and oh it’ll be fine if I get everything done but I never like I don’t know how to explain it I never took time for myself I always put others first and sure I have good days but there’s just this like empty feeling always and I tend to try to push it away.     5. Just paint the pictures for yourself. Painting pictures but having that goal in the back of your mind that someone will want to buy them, it is just another pressure of your ambitious personality and it can easily pull you down. And the paintings will not contain what it should. Nothing is perfect. Accept it for your well-being.

    6. I have been where you are. I have had all those same issues. Probably a good many of us out here have. I was glad to hear you mention painting, because I was going to suggest you do some more of your artwork. It makes for great therapy and fabulous asmr videos. I, too, have a great need to create and be creative. Sounds like you are on the right track to healing. I think you will do well and your creativity will flourish and be fulfilling and healing.     8. I have similar problems. It is impossible to function for 100%. I do have a job but it is not possible to work 5 days a week. I also have a light form of schizophrenia what makes it harder then it all ready is. Everything I want to do is sleep all day. Feeling tired, all the time… Every little thing you need to do takes all your energy.
      Confused mind, thinking no one understands you. It feels like there is no way out.
      You are not alone, it is very very hard❤️

    9. I understand your pain. We are living in a difficult world with difficult rules. Try to be strong and try to bear life even if it is difficult. Dont sacrify tomorrow cause today is difficult maybe tomorrow all we be better so try to see people you love as your sister your parents yo find strong and love to be syringer in the life

    13. Isabel, I commend you for your bravery. It takes real courage to truly be this openly vulnerable, and, most importantly, honest with oneself. Everyone wants happiness in life, but some times the very things we think are supposed to lead us to happiness, in fact, distance us from actual happiness. We humans tend to sacrifice our own desires for the sake of our loved ones. We want to please people; we are scared of disappointing others; we are scared of others' opinions on the things we truly enjoy in life, whether it is our hobbies, careers, or ways we like to socialize. So many people in our social circle judge us everyday, including ourselves, telling us that the job we really enjoy is a joke and it is not going to earn us a living, that we are still young and naive and should listen to our parents because they come from a place of experience. That us millenials are too selfish and idealistic and not realistic and pragmatic enough. We understand their intentions are good, but doing whatever they want us to be for the rest of our lives would be living a life that is designed by them. It would be living a complete lie, and our life is too precious to just waste it like that. We want to make the most out of our lives with every second. When we shun our true selves for the sake of pleasing someone we love, we are sacrificing one of the most vital parts of our lives. Love will require making sacrifice at times, but lying to our own selves is truly not something we ought to sacrifice. Be proud of who you are, what you enjoy doing, and what you like in this life. Acceptance is something our society still is working on, because of the paradox of the individual and society. In order to coexist, each must sacrifice something for the other. Life is about balance. It is not about finding the peak, because once you aim too high, your fall is really low too. We must find the center. If we tilt the balance, we will only be stressed out, and stress is a serious issue that affects us mentally, emotionally, and physically. It manifests through our symptoms, whether it is our behavior, our mood, our physical condition, our cognitive abilities, etc. It drains our energy and the love, the color, and the beauty of life in our eyes. Take rest, and feel empowered again. You deserve it because it is a human right to be healthy. I am very glad you are doing much better, and thank you for being so candid and open. Trust me, your story will resonate on a personal level with so many people, including myself. Above all, know you are not alone, and know you are surrounded by people who love you and wish you well, including your YouTube family.

    14. OK. So this is a bizzare coincidence but you look like my mum with blonde hair, and then you started talking about how u get anxious around busy places like the airport, just like my mum used to. She would be sick and constantly tired all the time. This was going on for about 3-4 years. Eventually she started getting sick after eating a lot until she had just had enough and went to the docter. I dont want to scare you but my mother was diagnosed with fatty liver desease. Nothing deadly, but it affected her mood and tiredness just like you explained. All she had to do was change her diet and she got well again. She started to look 10 years younger, full of energy etc etc. Maybe just have a blood test and ask about fatty liver desease. Its something u dont develope, rather something that is inherited and can be easily manouvered by just not eating fatty foods i.e meat, dairy, oil. It seems like a lot to give up but it will make all the difference (If you have fatty liver desease that is) Glad to see your back!

    15. Honestly this is one of my favourite videos from you because it's so real and honest. Mental health issues probably affect everyone at some stage and it's totally ok to not be ok. It's a message the world needs. I've been there, thank you for sharing and I wish you all the best on your journey to healing.     18. I'm so grateful you posted this video. So, it happened to me this year and still is going on. I have the exact same symptoms. I will forget simple things and not get why , I will oversleep or not sleep at all, when I'll talk I will just lose it even though normally it never happens to me… I will cry for nothing or get angry while I usually am really easy-going, but most of all I'll feel overwhelmed and blocked on a daily-basis, and the feeling of feeling overwhelmed is always here with me. Your video gives hope and shows "we" are not alone! I actually never heard about burn out stories, before it happened to me. I didn't know why I was like that, if it was a depression or else. Now I think it's both, and seeking for help is the real goal from now on – so thank you for sharing, it helps. 🙂

    20. Bless you. as a Sag, you are a sensitive soul underneath the bravado. You've lit a lot of fires and it's fine to put some out to take care of yourself. That is the most important thing. Take a magnesium and b complex as this will help with the frazzled nerves. Bodywork is hugely important-get massages, cranial work and keep up your dancing and anything that helps you feel grounded. Your channel is so creative. I've missed you but you are the most important thing. Burnout is awful. Inhad it 10 years ago after I left an awful job. Luckily I had supportive friends who got me through it. There is more understanding about mental health now and I hope you get the right help to get through this phase. And it is a phase, it won't last, I promise. Wishing you a good recovery. Don't pressurise yourself to do it quickly. You will heal in you own good time. Lots of love to you xxx
