6 Causes Of Depression In The Life Of A Christian

Comments 40

  1. Hey brother Bryan, I know it’s been a long time since I’ve watched or posted a comment on your channel, I’ve been struggling with the lusts of my flesh for the passed year. Since then I’ve have falling in depression and quit my job and just been struggling to get out of the house. I’ve have prayed to God about it and repented of my sins, but I’m still struggling to find a job that I like. I don’t know what else to do.

  2. after i had a fun time with a bday part (of mine and my brother's)
    with mormon family members, i went on facebook after the party
    ended and shared my hope of the rapture (don't use that word any more)
    of the children that i played with when they were at the house.
    and that stirred up my family (and the extended family)
    and i was told not to contact them like that again

    i've had that experience vary much so, i get
    wonderful truth from the LORD and get excited to
    share it with my family, then they go against me for it

  3. Number one cause should be that Jesus is a myth
    He was not the Son of God is not the Son of God is not at the right hand of the father it's all lies

  4. Thanks to the Lord God for using you. This IS a much needed message. Blessings to you.

  5. Thank you brother Bryan!

    There are many days in my life, when i feel depressed.
    In the last days more than ever, because when i look at this world, i wonder how many days we still have left, before the rapture finally happens..

    But then i think about certain people and i feel bad for them, because they will go trough the time of jacobs trouble..

    I try to distract myself from those negative thoughts, but i just cant, because i live in this reality and every day i wake up, i will be reminded about how bad this world is and yet, i have to endure it.

    I know the rapture has to happen soon, but still it seems so far away..

  6. 1 Corinthians 13:11 (KJV) When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

  7. Beautiful sermon related to depression and following problems… It is not easy this time to give everything a place in life and it is so easy to let your mind be seduced by worldly things and external influences. Our Lord Jesus Christ helps us every day to deal with this as well as possible, by reading what is written in the Bible and applying this in our lives … His Word is Truth, He made us in His image to do what He has written in the Bible … Be strong brothers in Christ and keep reading your Bible, and pray daily … Also pray for this Ministry and this family that they may be strengthened by our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

  8. Sir , please Bust out that Big ol 1611 facsimile conteyning the old testament and the new and make some in depth videos on it and take us on a journey of dicovery causing us to learn together …I wanna know much much more about it and look up the 1846 iluminated too because that looks awesome too and all the other Kings horses and Kings men that brought us the Great Book…amen.

  9. Hi Bryan,

    I am wondering, how do you apply church discipline (as per Math 18, 1 Cor 5, 2 Thes 3), if you only meet with your wife and kids? So obviously it can be done if there is some regular meeting with other christians, so does this prove that a local assembly is required.

  10. Much needed message. My family always tried to make me take pills for depression. The Spirit wouldn’t let me. Thank God. Prophets were sorrowful even some wishing they were never born. Jesus was a man of sorrow. So will His own be also. NOTHING happy about being in a war. We’re warriors. Let’s march on in the Spirit. Praise God!

  11. Dr. Peter Breggins has a very good & detailed book for folks on pharmaceutical depression drugs, their caretakers & doctors….for how to safely come off of them, as well as explaining 'why'. Not likely a Bible believer, but useful for the technical information.

  12. Amen! Things you won't hear sitting in a church pew on a sunday morning! Praying for your ministry and you as a family!

  13. I have to say I enjoy my air cond. and heat pump. God gave people the knowledge to create these things, why not enjoy them. All that time it takes to split wood could be useful time for ministry. We do have a fireplace as well, incase we need to use it for heat.

  14. Also vitamin D deficiency can cause depression. Get afternoon soon on fore arms and legs and face. Do not put on sunscreen. It blocks the vita. D from the sun. And wait an hour before washing your skin. The sun puts cholesterol on the skin. Then it goes into the body to produce vit. D. My doctor checked mine and I had a deficiency. Or you can take a supplement. Take D3. Make sure any vitamins you get says USP on the bottle. If it doesnt, you may not be getting what they say on the bottle. I take about 500 IU a day. Also drink milk. Eggs, any dairy is important. It's also important for your bones. You can ask your doctor to check it through a blood test. So many things can be linked back to vit. deficiency of one kind or another.

  15. If you are a woman hormonal imbalance can also cause depression. Hormones help regulate serotonin in the brain. Alot of women can have a problem with depression during menapause. I do believe for some it may be necessary to be on medication. When depression makes you bed ridden where you are not able to function, then unless God brings healing, medicine may be needed? It may only be for a period of time and then you can wean off of them. But severe depression can really mess you up more then the medication.

  16. Listening to rock music can cause anxiety. I believe it can cause depression too. Heavy metal with all the depressing stuff in it. I hate that kind of music. But growing up I did listen to pop and rock. I became born again I stopped that. Hated it. I believe alot of the music now days is causing the violence in todays society. Anyway, Ive been saved for 40 yrs. I got saved at 22. I never had any desire to go back to the sinful things I did before I got saved. To this day, I dont want to do those things.

  17. Thank you for this video and for preaching against sin. It always put thoughts in my mind about what I should be changing, to strive and be better. It is indeed depressing when pretty much everyone around me is so self-righteous and just don't get the gospel. I just hope they'll have a change of mind one day. I think it's because they don't really fear God, so they don't understand how to get saved. Time will tell whether they'll change or not. God bless!

  18. Great sermon and true especially on the family conflict and the sin of the flesh, truly useful and good advice on the day to day struggle with the flesh, thank you and God bless you and your family , keep spreading the word out.

  19. What really gets me depressed is all the same old false teachers like Robert faker, Gene Kim, and AnderSIN, who continue to preach blasphemous herecy, and lead people to hell, but their never chastened. That vexes my soul! especially when people I know personally, fall into their snare, and are deceived by their lies, and then they think I'm being to judgmental for rebuking their damnable heresies. I just cannot wait until the LORD catches us up, because then we won't have to be depressed by Satan's ministers of deception anymore. I Marvel at how AnderSIN constantly blasphemes the LORD, but yet he continues in his folly, and is able to plant churches all over America, and fill them with creepy clones of himself. That is extremely depressing! Ok I'm done ranting, and I actually feel better, I'm not so depressed right now Lol! GOD bless you brother.

  20. The best things in life are free.If ya turn the dial on the heat pump your missing out.I bet that woodpile smells good!Especially if there is split cottonwood in there.Hard to be depressed smelling that!When I get depressed I go outside and stop at every wild flower that God made and just admire.The air smells so sweet in this boreal forest this time of year.I,ve always found it interesting that John Coulter from the Lewis and Clark expedition did not want to go back to St.Louise.Mo.but requested his pay saying that "He would be "lonely" in St. Louise and preferred the wilderness.He was not afraid to be alone with God.He went on to be the one of the first white men to see Yellowstone[first called Coulter's hell] and had learned to function [even travel]at -40 degrees.Many of these men were literate and carried a Bible with them.Coulter chose the opposite of Lot.Thanks for the uplifting video Bryan!!I believe one of the earmarks of a bible believing christian are the burden he carries for lost and former lost[died in their sins]family members Some of whom attended the church buildings their whole life and died lost as a goose.Heart breaking.!

  21. Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty
    Thanks be to God in the Highest Heaven
    Praise the Lord God Almighty,
    Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty, amen.

  22. When I was talking to a pastor of a local church about Matthew 17 21 he said that was added latter and he only reads the NIV.
    Chapter 17
    21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

  23. As a Roman Catholic I find your statement that I must use the King James Bible only, to be offensive. I would never tell YOU which bible to choose. I so far find you credible, however I don't take kindly to subtle insult.

  24. I feel a lot better and have more energy after I eat. I've been doing the keto diet only for 8 days now. I don't feel tired after I eat. And my sugar cravings are finally going away. 65% of my diet is fat, 30% is protein, 5% carbs. Besides vegetables, my other carbs would be a banana, or 4-5 oz of Tropicana 50% less sugar orange juice.

  25. Brethren i just notice this recently and i wanted to share it with ye. I believe that the Lord Jesus in Rev.3:14-22,the church of the Laodiceans, is specifically speaking to the Tares in the body of Christ. It's a long-ish read but, checkout thses bible references below. Oh and i added (subheads) for clarity sake.

    Revelation 3:14-22 (Warning)
    14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
    15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
    16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
    17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
    18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
    19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
    20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
    21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
    22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

    Matthew 13:24-30 (Parable)
    24Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
    25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
    26But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the TARES also.
    27So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it TARES?
    28He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
    29But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the TARES, ye root up also the wheat with them.
    30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the TARES, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

    Matthew 13:36-43 (Parable Explained)
    36Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
    37He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
    38The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
    39The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
    40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
    41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
    42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
    43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

    Matthew 24:42-51 (Warning/Parable)
    42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
    43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
    44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

    45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
    46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
    47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
    48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
    49And shall begin to smite hisfellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
    50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
    51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

    2nd Timothy 3:1-9 (Remember, Like the World, Tares are not Saved)
    1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
    2For men (and women) shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
    3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
    4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
    5Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
    6For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
    7Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
    8Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men (and women) of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the FAITH.
    9But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. (You judge a Tree, by the fruit it bears)

    2 Timothy 4:1-8 (Warning)
    1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick(living) and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
    2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
    3For the time will come when THEY (Tares and the World) will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers(Wolves), having itching ears;
    4And they shall turn away their ears from the TRUTH, and shall be turned unto fables.
    5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.
    6For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
    7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the FAITH:
    8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

    Well that's it brethren, that's why i believe Rev.3:13-22 is specifically referring to the Tares, that claim to be born again Christians. I also believe that after the Rapture, they are the "remnant of the Seed" that is mention in Rev.12:17, and if so, they still got a chance to be Saved during the Great Tribulation, by "Faith plus Works" (Rev.20:4).

    Thanks for reading and God bless brethren, in Jesus name.

  26. Is it a sin to be addicted to a truthful ministry, it has been many years that i have been weiry of the babble buildings, so happy since i found your ministry thank you for being so truthful

  27. The timing of this talk is just what I needed to hear. Thank the Lord for the timing and thoroughness of this video. God bless everyone who is struggling through depression!

  28. Hey Bryan (I’m gonna watch this video in its entirety), would you do a podcast with Jeremy on how to know for sure who’s truly Jewish and who isn’t? (I don’t mean the blatantly obvious, like “white Jews” and “black Jews”, which are fakes, but what characteristics to look for).
