    4. Hey guys. I know depression can be incredibly painful. I have a few methods that have personally helped me cope.

      1)Meditation.

      -Meditating focuses your negative thinking patterns (which creates thoughts that causes suffering inside of your mind) and you can watch and slowly choose what to think over time to a greater extent.

      – On YouTube there's sound frequencies called Binerauel beats that can help you get into a meditative state and omg believe me it works! (copy and paste that phrase)

      -There are also YouTube videos that give you different sounds like fire crackling, ocean waves, fire sounds, rain storms, etc. (Just look it up.)

      -There are different types of meditation you can try, there is quick research you can do. Some meditations let you explore your mind and others focus your mind on a particular subject or object.

      2)Lucid dreaming.

      -There are tons of benefits through lucid dreaming! (there are also dangers for some personalities so some people have to be very careful. Like escaping from reality, sleep paralysis and psychosis.) For most people however you can explore yourself and work through your depression in your mind. It is an incredible experience.

      -In lucid dreams you can do anything from flying, to traveling through time and speaking directly to your subconscious which can help you figure out your underlying cause of your depression potentially. (I suggest working with a professional at the same time)

      -There are many methods to lucid dreaming. Google "How to lucid dream" and start on your journey if that's the route you want to take.

      3)Workout and eating a well balanced diet.

      -Pushing yourself to exercise personally makes me release endorphins like crazy and makes me feel super euphoric.

      -Working out can release stress and other negative emotions within yourself

      -Eating a healthier diet can improve brain health and your over real body system which in turns helps your mind's system runs smother. Make sense?

      4)Try yoga.

      -Yoga may be difficult at first because stretching a tense body can be very uncomfortable but over time you will feel immense release. Scientific studies have shown yoga reduces anxiety and depression.

      -There are different types of yoga. Some are more intense than others. Find what works for you. Even overweight people can do this.

      5)Help others.

      -Even if you are feeling depressed, help someone else. Don't overdo it because at the moment you can't really help yourself. What I mean is do a little something. Crack a smile to a stranger. Maybe if you can afford it pay a starbucks (or somewhere else) for a stranger. Volunteer a few hours a week or month at an animal shelter. Give a stranger a compliment. Hold your tongue when youre angry. Do something small and kind.

      -When you give you receive.

      6)Try. Just try. Keep trying. If one day you stop trying. Pick yourself back up and don't stop trying. Reach out to a support group. Try to find one in person. Go see a therapist in person. Get health insurance if you dont have any and if you cant there are support groups online. Connect to others.

      Pick yourself up. Don't stop trying. You can do this. You can heal. Keep going. Stay strong. I believe in you.

    21. I have a very healthy diet, exercise regularly, and I sleep well. I still have depression!! These just allieviate the symptoms. It is not a cure by any means.

    22. Getting sick of this exercise myth, depending on what type of depression you have it isn't going to work. I don't know what's up with me but am pretty sure I have a type of depression. I go the gym at 12 o'clock dinner time and weight train for 45 minutes 5 days a week religiously and on a Tuesday and Thursday I also go boxing at 6pm for 1 hour and I have never had a good or different feeling from it. I have had this routine for over 3 months now and I don't get anything out of it. I don't no what's up with me tbh. I just hate life with a passion. Everything from the house I live in, the car I drive, the food I eat, the same routines I do everyday, i just can't stand my life. I don't work at the moment but when I did work I was exactly the same, I quit my job about 4 months ago because I couldn't stand going to work anymore. I hated every To do with work and I hate everything to do with not working. Some days i have a period of really thinking about my life and why am such a failure and how much I hate my life. I start getting really angry and upset and I think about cutting my face and chest with a Stanley knife. But them type of thoughts only come round about once every 2 months. Something has to set it off and I don't know what. I have never self harmed my self and I don't think I will but sometimes Just fantasise over it. I started this downfall when I was about 25, am now 29 and my life feels like it's slowing down more and more, I don't hold jobs down anymore, I hate going anywhere, i never like going out on a night out anymore with friends, I only see 1 of my friends now and that's when am training. Everything just really depresses me. I just can't stand my life. I don't think about killing my self but I do imagine if I wasn't here anymore. I never feel good enough for anyone or anything. I don't date girls anymore. My life right now is by far the worst I have ever been. Am also to embarrassed to go to a doctor because. This is actually the first time I have ever explained it in this much detail. It's like 3:00 am in the morning right now. Been watching slot of these depression videos tonight and there all the same exercise and eat this and that type of food. It's all bullshit to me. It don't work. I also been getting angry thoughts today about wanting to kick off and even fight certain people I don't like. I actually sound like a psychopath reading back though this but am actually really quite and plight to people when am out at the gym and stop at the shop or what ever. Like I said these are just my thoughts.
